- Tracking email without tracking number
- Posted by Dave Ireland on December 28th, 2006
If you turn of the tracking tokens, the CRM Exchange Router will not be able
to automatically process inbound e-mail. So the only way to get received
e-mail into the CRM is to 'promote' it from the Outlook client by clicking
'Track in CRM'.
I hope that answers the question - but if not, post again.

If you are using Exchange, you can install an optional piece of software
called the "CRM Exchange Router" which can automatically try to push the
incoming e-mails into the CRM (it does a reverse lookup on the sender's
e-mail address). Read about it in the Implementation Guide for more info.
