Hello,

I try to install IBF for MS-CRM on a german installation.
The IBF Server is installed on a separate Windows 2003 SE host, because of
SBS host of MS CRM Server.
The IBF server works well (tested from the MS CRM Server with
http://ibfhostname:8082/IBFWriteService.asmx, the site is in registered for
the local intranet).
The installation of MS CRM IBF extension fails at the end of installation
process with
Error 28000.

What can I do to get it installed?


My system konfiguration:

MS CRM Server host:
SBS2003 (german)
- Exchange Server 2003(german)
- SQL-Server 2000 SP3(german)
- MSCRM 1.2(german)
Permissions:
web.config (networkservice)
%SystemRoot%\Temp (Networkservice)

azman.msc configuration:
NETZWERKDIENST account is configured in the Administrators roll.
Is there may be a problem with the name of the network service account (the
IBF server installation is in english, but all the users have german names)?

I've found the cause. My ISV.config file was filled up. So the installer had
become a trouble during inserting of it's own customization data. Solution: I
used the originally from MS CRM setup installed isv.config file and after
installation I merged my customization into the isv.config.

Hello,

I get the same error when installing the IBF in the following scenario:
- Win 2k3 ENGLISH
- MS CRM 1.2 GERMAN
- SQL Server ENGLISH
=> (this was confirmed to work by MS, and it really does !
- MOIBF1.0 english (only version available) => is working, tested like
Alexander below.
- MOIBF1.5 for CRM german (only version installable) => ERROR

What is wrong here ? Has anyone tried this before ?

This is quiet urgent, for the IBF is the only Tool not installed for our
customer yet.
