User Account Management (Domain User account set-up

I set up a user in CRM, but typed in the Domain Logon
Name incorrectly during the initial user set up process.

When I go back to the user id, the Domain Name field is
grayed out. Does anyone know how I can correct this?

You need to deactivite the user and create a new user.
You can assign the new user the deactiviated user's
license.

There is another way around it. It involves a basic SQL Update
statement but Microsoft will tell you that it's not a supported
method...so I won't post it here directly.

I will.

If you check the SystemUserBase table you will find the field that holds the
login name. You can edit this field to add the domain prefix to the user and
you will be OK.

It is not a supported fix, but it works.

What Matt said

Being new on this forum, I didn't know what was frowned upon relating
to suggesting fixes that are strongly frowned upon by MS yet work just
fine.

Carl,

The only thing I like to do is make sure to point out if it's unsupported. This
forum is full of unsupported suggestions. Sometimes that's the only
alternative.
