- What is the SalesStage in the lower right hand corner of Opportuni
- Posted by Jamie on September 1st, 2005
When I open an opportunity, there is a read-only text on the lower right hand
corner says: "Sales Stage: None", when the actual Sales Stage on the form is
something else, for example "In Progress". Does anyone know where does this
sales stage come from? How is its value set? And why is it not in synch
with the Sales Stage on the form?

its possible that someone has entered their own sales stage text. Go to
customization and confirm the schema name for the field

I checked the schema and there isn't a sales stage called "None". Could this
have anything to do with SalesStages setup by Workflow Manager? We don't use
this feature here. But I'm always very confused by the different meanings of
"Sales Stages" in Microsoft CRM, especially so in the reports area.

Right but this field on the opportunity form allows you to enter text.
Either a user has entered a value or this is in your sales process
open workflow manager and look at the sales process.
also create a new opportunity and tell me what happens with this field

I created a new opportunity, it displayed "Sales Stage: None". There isn't
any sales stage configured in workflow manager.
