0028 ERROR MESSAGE

while editing in Premiere 6.0, my system keeps crashing
and I get

ERROR:0E:0028:FF0D253 in VxD--- CALLED FROM 0028:C0057663
in VxD--- message.
Followed by

an exception 0E occured at 0028:C0030D12 IN VxD---. This
was called from 0028:CC1D188 in VxD---.

Any one know how to fix this?

Jim,

I use Premiere 6.0 on a WinMe laptop. It's fairly resource intensive. You
may want to Ctrl/Alt/Del and End Task on things you don't need. You can
close everything except Systray and Explorer and then start Premiere. You
might want to get familiar with what's running in the background and remove
some of it. Look in your StartUp folder and also Start/Run/msconfig StartUp.

You didn't mention your hardware, but you might increase your video ram and
maybe even your system ram.

Also, do a virus scan with current definitions and scan for SpyWare with
www.lavasoftusa.com.
