- administrator

Whenever I try to copy one of my own files from a floppy
disk to a cdr I get the message that it has to be
authorized by "the administrator". I am not on a
network. This is strictly a personal computer. How do I
register my name as the only administrator. This probably
sounds like a dumb question but the administrator thing
comes up all the time. Thanks

If it only happens while trying to access the floppy drive the most likely
cause is that the floppy drive is dirty or dead.

the "administrator". Who is this "administrator" and what
does it mean?

All users in WinME are local administrators, i'ld suggest that you have
another operating system installed or the application used to write to CDR
isn't ME compliant.
