I recently installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and Album 2.0, and I'm
having trouble when I shut down after a work session. I wanted to try here
first, since I've gotten good advice or links here in the past. Sorry about
the length of the posting, but I'm hoping the complete information might
help identify what is happening. If I activate Album 2.0, and then shut it
down with no editing; this problem does not occur
At shutdown, the symptoms vary; but this is what I got last time: A blue
window that said: Windows An error has occurred. To continue:
Press Enter to return to Windows, or (this causes system to freeze with
black screen)
Press CNTL+ALT+DEL to restart your computer. If you do this, you will lose
any unsaved information in all open applications.
Error: 0E: 016F:BFF8E64B
the "CNTL+ALT+DEL" results in a new screen:
An exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C00096BA in VxD VMM(01) + 00000640.
It may be possible to continue normally.
*Press any key to attempt to continue
*Press CNTL+ALT+DEL to restart.
There is no response no matter which path I've tried first at this point. I
have to shut the computer off with the power button.
Thanks for any help,
Ed
