When I bootup comp, it goes to desktop and shows only basic icons such as my docs, my comp, IE, none of my other stuff. When I go to START is clicks in but never does anything. I get one pop up about Norton Antivirus failed with Email (not exact words). Passed that I can only right click on MY COMP where I can see the documents but I can't retrieve them. When I left click on MY COMP is just brings up a white screen. I can't get it to go to safe mode and I can't even get it to run my CD drive in order to run my restore

I'm very confused about this and would like any advise one may have to offer me
