How are you logging into Windows? Do you have a logon window asking for a
username and password. Never hit Cancel. If you don't know the password,
delete or rename the .pwl file as already instructed. If you don't have that
window at all and you're not able to save passwords, you may have to switch
your Primary Logon to Microsoft Networks ... and then back to Windows Logon
if you prefer. You can choose to not have a password, but you must have a
username and you must not choose Cancel. These changes are done with a
right-click on My Network Places / Properties. The fundamental thing here
is, if Windows doesn't know who's logged in, it may not allow passwords to
be used or saved. But if this doesn't fix it, there are other ideas. Post
back and let us know.
