- COMLHEB.DLL
- Posted by Cindy on March 1st, 2004
When I start the computer, Windows starts to open, the
sound plays, the bar along the bottom of the screen opens,
then I get an error that says "Explorer has caused an
error in COMLHEB.DLL and will now close". When I click OK,
all that is left is a blue screen. I assume I have a
virus, but since I can't get anything open, I have no way
to run my virus scan. Please help!!!

Can you boot to Safe Mode??
If so, then look for any reference to COMLHEB in the MSCONFIG|Startup
listing, and uncheck it - reboot to normal mode.
download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling
viruses are not present on your PC
http://download.nai.com/products/mca...rt/stinger.exe
- update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files.
download AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to
remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.
