Does Me recognize NTFS drives?
Posted by Nate on March 6th, 2004

I'm wondering if ME will recognize NFTS external drives?
Thanks!

No - although it will be able to read NTFS drives in another machine on a
network( it's actually the host machine doing the reading).

To add to Noel's reply there are third parties utilities available that allow
you to read a partition using
NTFS. Free readers are obtainable such as NTFS for Windows 98 v2.0 from
SysInternals (http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr...tfswin98.shtml) but
if you need to write to an NTFS volume you will have to purchase the necessary
utility.
