Everyone who can help,

There are problem with my computer when I switch it on, it
just hang and all icons are missing. So I try to reinstall
window ME into my computer, it was all smooth going until
the last part it gave me this warning :
'Generic Installer error, Message SU99407, Added =
processing error (0 x 197)'

And then it will jump back to the hang screen where
nothing works.

Can anyone tells me what is the problem and how can I
resolve it?

Setup error SU99407:

Your registry appears to be damaged. View the Setuplog.txt file for
additional information - you should be able to do this by booting from a
floppy. You MAY be able to continue be renaming the registry file system.dat
in the windows folder to system.old and then renaming system.dat with a
renamed copy of system.1st or system.da0 from the copy in the root of C:\

Another possible reason for this error could be that the key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs
has reached the size limit for a key of 64KB, possibly as a result of the
large number of applications that you have installed. Unfortunately, if this
is the problem, you need to be able to boot into Win Me so as to be able to
manually delete some of the entries.
