- importing address book to 98 machine from me machine

A friend asked me to show him how to import his address
book on a ME notebook to a 98 desktop. I copied the
address book from OE on the ME machine to a disk, stuck
it in the 98 machine, opened up OE but it would not let
me import it. Anyone know what's going on?
