Improper Shutdown on ME
Posted by btb on February 5th, 2004

Whenever I start up my ME system I get an
automatic scan disk with the message
"Improper shutdown detected".

A while back I applied the longest delay from
Windows/INF/QFE and that appeared to have
cured the problem.

However it's back.

I know there was something somewhere about
a mod to change the Autoscan line to zero in the
msdos.sys file options but my options only contain:-

[Options]
BootMulti=0
BootGUI=1
DoubleBuffer=1

and there is a problem re the size of msdos.sys.

Any help gratefully received.

Briain

BootMenuDefault=1
BootMenuDelay=25
BootMulti=1
BootSafe=0
BootWarn=1
BootWin=1
DblSpace=0
DisableLog=1
DrvSpace=0
Logo=0
LoadTop=0
WinVer=4.90.3000
