ME not starting up
Posted by on March 6th, 2004

I took a hard drive out of a gateway computer to put in
one I built. The person wanted all the original data on
the hard drive. I loaded everything up right, checked to
make sure all hardware and software are compatible with
ME. Everything was running fine until I tried to do a
defrag. Now whenever I try to start the computer, all I
get is the Gateway Go Back screen and it's stuck there.
How do I get past this problem

You need to uninstall (or at least switch off) GoBack - it's not strictly
compatible with ME
