- Microsoft sounds

My system came with Windows 95, I installed Me and I still
had all of my windows sounds. As soon as I installed my
ISP's information all that I get is static and partial
sounds. I can here the sounds from some online games, some
web sights music if I am listening to a music CD, but no
windows sounds. Can somebody give me some ideas on how to
fix the problem?

What drivers are you using to drive your peripherals? Example: is sound card
using ME or Win9x drivers? Since this started possibly when the modem was
activated, have you checked with motherboard manual as to what PCI slots are
shared? Are you getting conflicts in device manager (Winkey + Pause)? Have
you looked into a bios update?
