- Missing dll on start up of me
- Posted by john \(remove\) @airbits.com on March 2nd, 2004
I have had 3 computers in my shop this week, all running
ME and all with the same error. The first error message
says "error loading explorer.exe you must re-install
windows". The error box behind this message says "a
required .dll file, c:\windows\system\comctl32.dll was
not found." It then shuts down and tries to restart with
same error messages. I am also unable to get past it from
safe mode. Is there a virus out there? I find nothing on
microsofts website. Any ideas as to what I might be able
to do using the c: prompt? Thanks in advance

Never mind, It looks as if I may have resolved the issue.
