Hi,
Something happened to my TINY PC which lost all drivers
and the PC only came with recover disk not WIN ME OS disk
so I had to go to MSI MBoard website to get all drivers.
This was no problem and all drivers loaded. However the
sound did not work. When I went into the device manager
it had one sound device and said was working correctly.
But when I went into
ControlPanel_SoundAndMultimedia_DevicesTab_AudioDe vices_Sa
meDriver_Properties, it says driver enabled but inactive
due to unknown error. Also in the 'Sound Audio and Voice
TABS' there are no options available, they are greyed out
saying No Playback Devices. The volume slider is even
greyed out.
I tried new sound card with new drivers, again seems to
load but I get same problem.
I have also noticed when trying to open help and support
I get heltctr caused error in kernel32.dll, when opening
directx diagnostic i get dxdiag caused error in
kernel32.dll and opening Wordpad causes error in
MMSystem.dll IS THIS THE PROB? HOW DO I FIX?
Has anyone any ideas as I dont really want to wipe PC
with recover disk especially if it is a MBoard prob which
wouldnt solve prob anyway.
Thanks.
