- Registry Question
- Posted by Frank McKee on February 4th, 2004
Hi,
I want to know how to remove all the unchecked entries in the Registry (
Machine Run & Machine Service).
MSCONFIG shows more unchecked than checked entries in the start menue.
Thanks,
Frank

The UNchecked entries in MSConfig | Startup are stored in the registry under
the following keys:
[Registry (Per-User Run)]
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run -
[Registry (Machine Run)]
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run -
[Registry (Machine Service)]
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Services-
Please Note these are these key with "-" sign at the end. The checked entries
to be retained are in the keys WITHOUT the "-" sign.
