- Restart hangs
- Posted by Ben Stevenson on January 17th, 2004
Restarts hangs too many times. Upon hitting restart, it cycles to first the
blue screen, then the blank screen, and thats where it hangs with the
pointer approx. in the middle. Cntrl+Alt+Del does not bring up the Close
With box. I have no choice but to switch it off to shutdown.
TIA

Hold the Ctrl key dring startup and select Safe mode.
From safe mode: Start - Run - msconfig
De-select some boxes on "Selective startup" and add them step-by-step
to see which one causes the trouble.
HTH,
Noam
