I keep getting a reminder to update the security patch of
814078-MS jscript 5.6. I have downloaded this several
times and then reboot the puter and I still have the
reminder update interrupting all the time. I have checked
the view installation history and it says it was
succesfully updated on 09/08, 09/01 x3, o8/25, 08/23 x5.
is this a common problem? And how can this be fixed?, any
information would be helpful for me!

Confirm that the update has been installed by comparing the JSCRIPT.DLL
file found in the WINDOWS\System folder with the file attributes of the
fix :

13-Jan-2003 20:57 5.6.0.8513 589,881 Jscript.dll

If the JSCRIPT.DLL file on your system matches the above suggest you
ignore the prompt. It is *possible* that it didn't register. To register
it go to Start, Run, enter this in the Open: line :

REGSVR32 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\JSCRIPT.DLL

Press Enter or click OK. You should get a message that the file
registered. The command is case sensitive. Copy and paste it into the
Open: space .
