Hi George,
I'm hearing reports of a DDoS attack on the SpyBot site.
(Page may not load) -
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download
(This "should" be the updates for today)
http://spybot.eon.net.au/files/spybotsd_tools.exe
Hit the executable and install, open SpyBot and go to the
Help > About Menu > (should show March 4) (once update done).
If this is all to much of a pain, wait until the storm has cleared or use
another server - **common** problem during SpyBot updates.

Hi Siljaline,
FWIW...I was finally just now able to get the update download to work using
the EON Australia location. I could not get any of the other locations to
download, they just hung up on the download. The current update does show
the Mar 4 date.
Just in case someone else is having a problem too.

Same here. Just used the USA mirror and downloaded the updates without a
problem.

Hi Figgs,
It's not halfway around the world, it's right here .... in
Australia.
Cheers from the land of Oz

Ha ha.......it is if you live in Toronto, Canada......you all are upside
down and 15 hours ahead of me. Assuming you are on the Queensland side. My
best genealogy bud is in Cairns.

If I click 'Search for updates'
I get a box saying 'No newer updates available'
I've nothing to download.
Never had a problem before.

Hmmm... a corrupt install, George.
If *you* suspect yes, let me know and I'll direct you how to uninstall
SpyBot - it's a bit tricky.
Cheers & sorry to hear you're having all the trouble.

There's a Registry tweak quoted - don't bother with it.

SpyBot is a messy uninstall, follow the FAQ, reboot and manually
clean-up folders.

Hi George,
I had the same problem the first time. I just downloaded it again and saved
it to my hard drive and then installed it from there the second time. Then I
got the Mar 4 as Siljaline said.

I always pick the country that is asleep when I am on the computer, whether
it be my own or elsewhere........usually goes right through. And Figgy,
you're right, once again......the Aussie site is normally a 'go.'
