tcp/ip error

I'm getting an error when I turn on my computer:
"the TCP/IP network transport is not installed"
and I an unable to connect to the internet

What's your OS? - this is not an error message I would associate with ME. -
although it may occur if you are having router problems with an ADSL/cable
modem.
Try the modem support people if that's the case - I can find no cures in a
quick search :-(
