I booted computer up from cd drive with a copy of xp with
windows me still installed in backround the xp disc
crashed as it was about to initialize folders a fatal
error occured and stopped the installation of xp and
restarted my computer and now every time it starts the xp
logo appears and it tries to complete the installation
every time bringing up this fatal error PLEASE PLEASE how
do i just get back to my belovered millenium and stop xp
from loading up . yours hopefully

Your boot file is probably partially written to boot up with Windows XP.
First, backup your data. Boot up with a boot up disk. If you don't have
one get the Windows ME OEM one from www.bookdisk.com
Then put the Windows ME CD in the CD-ROM and type setup and you will install
ME again.
