Don,
You're welcome. I'm glad it helped. Just doing an End Task will only stop
some things until next boot. To get them out permanently, edit your StartUp
folder ... and also go to Start/Run/msconfig StartUp. To get familiar with
what you can remove, go here:
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Taskl...s/tasklist.htm.
Some programs will have to be stopped in their own options somewhere ...
depending on the program. After you've gone to the above link and removed
items in msconfig, let us know which ones keep coming back even after
removing in msconfig.

For Tony McCanless a big thanks for your help with
suggesting Start/Programmes/Start and Task List re
cleaning up.
A noticeable difference. My cursor does not stick as often
nor do I get the level of frame freeze as before.I have
manually deleted the majority from Task List via
(control/alt/delete) however they tend to re-appear with
each start up.Can you guide me as to how I can
permanantley remove those which I do not want?
Again a big thanks for your help.
