I am running a home network useing win me on all computers
They are all p4 but diferent hardware
I need to connect a laptop, (p3) which only has a usb port, into the system
I did get a usb cable(female to female) which connects the laptop to one computer
I thought mshome (direct cable network) would see the laptop but it did not
Do I need software, and were can I get it
Thanks for any help or sugestions

You need a 10/100 Compact USB Network Adapter, such as the Linksys Model
No. USB100M.
This plugs into the USB port and provides the RJ-45 port.
Many vendors supply an equivalent.
