- Windows Me update will not run
- Posted by on January 14th, 2004
When Windows trys to download updates I get the error
message "To install items from Windows Update, you must be
logged on as an administrator " This is a stand alone
computer not attached to a network. The update program
worked last time a few months ago.
What do I need to do?
Thanks

Go directly the Windows Update site
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
Clear your cache. Delete all temporary internet files and cookies. Make
sure your system time and date is correct.
Windows Update Trouble Shooter

Alternative way to download Windows and other updates. Use Bigfix.
