I need to know how to disable Windows Messenger Service in
Windows Me. I can find this info for every other Windows
version but not for Me.

Hi,
The information you are finding for disabling it does not apply to Windows
Me because the messenger service does not exist in that OS. Are you having a
problem with some type of popup, or did you just want to disable it to
secure your system? If it's the latter there's nothing to worry about.
The messenger service should not be confused with MSN Messenger by the way,
they are two completely different things.

As Alex has already mentioned Win Me like all other Win 9x operating systems
has no Messenger Service which is a component only of NT based systems such as
Win2K and XP.
