It keeps on saying

"Windows Protection Error Device PERF"

on a blue screen of death.

I think reinstalling windows would work but ME doesn't let
you get to DOS to do it and the best I can do is go to
safe mode where it freezes on my desktop. Even
ctrl+alt+del freezes.
