- WinME updates
- Posted by Gertie on February 25th, 2004
Being a good computer person, I went onto Microsoft
support website to update WinME. I installed 17 updates
that were said to be critical to my system. Now my
operating system does not work 100%. I am not able to hear
sound. I cannot access control panels, system files etc.
and not able to shut down my computer at all. Any
suggestion for a novice computer person to recover from
this situation??? Gertie

Think how you'd feel after a 17-course meal!<g> Updates are best done in
small batches.
Try using System Restore to back out of them, then reinstall a couple at a
time.
