I am on cable and have bought a Media pc as a second computer for the
sitting room.
I don't wish to upset my present setup with the main computer in a
different room where the cable connections were originally put. Changing
computers seems to mean releasing the main connection and attaching the new
computer directly according to the instructions from Blueyonder.

Both are Hewlett P. (one AMD, one Intel 4) with the same wi fi setup - and
being a total newcomer to networking wonder if I can activate it via through
the wi fi connection? I am not particularly interested in browsing the web
with it.

Any instructions or pointing me to helpful web pages gratefully welcomed. I
want to transfer all my security stuff to it before connecting to the net.
