Add a new website?
Posted by beachside on November 9th, 2005

This may sound like a silly question, but I can't seem to find a way to
do this.

How can I add the URL of a new website that I can browse on my TV
through MCE? The site is apparently formatted for TV viewing. I just
can't seem to find a way to add sites to MCE.

Thanks!

You need to create a .MCL file. You can use Notepad to create a basic one
like this:

<application url=http://path.to.application/ name="Name of the website"/>

Then you need to put it in the Media Center Programs folder on the Start
Menu, it's under Accessories\Media Center. You will need to create the
folder if it doesn't exist.

Once that's done it will appear in More Programs inside Media Cetner.
