- Building new Media Center PC?
- Posted by lundable@gmail.com on October 3rd, 2005
Hello everyone,
I am currently making a shopping list for my new Media Center PC and I
was hoping that someone here could give some input on my choices:
- Shuttle XPC SD31P barebone
- Samsung SpinPoint P120 SP2504C 250GB
- Pentium 4 630 3 GHz
- Kingston ValueRAM 1 x 1 GB
- Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500MCE
- LiteOn SOHW-1653S (DVD RW)
One thing i am unsurden of currently: As far as i can see the Shuttle
has no DVI ports, but still it supports MCE?
The DVI port is very important since the computer will be connected
directly to a LCD 32" TV.
Hope to hear some good comments fra ya'll ;-)

It is possible with many motherboards that use Intel 950 graphics like the
model you have selecet to add a PCI-e slot DVI card which will also
interface with the 950 graphics for around $30.
