Can no longer Burn Audio CD's
Posted by scott@scottsworld.us on December 30th, 2005

Since the Install of Roll up 2, I have not been able to burn CD's from
the Media Center. I can burn them from Windows Media 10, Nero and
Winamp without error, but this takes away from the convenience of
keeping within MCE 2005. I tried by removing and reinstalling the roll
up and even replaced my CD Burner with a brand new Toshiba. I still
get the same results... It's always the same whatever disk I try to
burn, it gets 6 seconds into the burn, kicks out the disk and says
there were errors trying to burn the disk (that's all I get). I
don't want to keep trying only because I don't have an unlimited
budget and I've gone thru several disks trying to resolve this
problem. Ugh...

Hello... Anyone reading this?

Tell me about it, I used a whole bindle of 25 dvd's. Then I set the write
speed from max (variable) to one that reflected an average of the burn speed
I was seeing. It is slower but I have not lost a disk since I did this. I
also got an updated burn engine from my PC manufacturer although some here
will say rollup2 has the updated engine already.
