This is the wrong forum.. but your windows XP CD is self booting. Your
computer needs to support boot from CD then on restart you should see the
press any key to boot from CD this will essentially start XP setup... just
follow directions and "delete" all the partitions you want to get rid of,
it's part of XP setup you it will allow you to format with NTFS then no
problem you don't need to run anything in Dos mode.
