- Creating DVD's

Have a MCE and I have tried to burn dvd's from tv shows downloaded to the
computer. Have tried to use Sonic as well as the MCE dvd program and I end
up with an error message. Hwo do I burn TV shows to dvd and which program is
better to use?

I cannot remember. It has happened twice and I finally decided to ask
someone about it. Someone told me that I need to compress the files or
change the format. Does this make sense?

No one can help you without the necessary information. You need to provide
the exact wording of the error message if you hope to gain any useful
assistance.

Just a wild reply as specific messages do help but
My MCE 2005 won't burn to DVD-R - but works fine to DVD-RW ... gives a
message saying that the disc can not be written to when it is not
re-writable...

I'm not sure how you are trying to write it, but however you are doing
it, it's wrong. Either that, or your drive is bad.
