Dual Tuner Help!

Hi,

I have 2 seperate TV tuners. One is an ATI All in Wonder 9800 pro and the
other is a Conexiant 878a. I'm not exactly sure of the other card, b/c it
is not in front of me. I'm trying to enable both cards to work with MCE
2005. I have split a coax connection and connected each to the 2 cards.
When i run the setup, it only recognizes 1 cable signal. Any ideas on how
to activate the other?

Thanks

First, the AIW card is not supported by MCE and, second, even with two
tuners that are both supported, you will only see one "signal", and will
only have one program guide, although you will be able to either record
two shows at once or watch one while recording a different one.

Yes, but if you look in this newsgroup you will see that it ain't all
peaches and cream.

ATI may "support" MCE, but MCE does not support AIW... at least not "well"

As I discovered just a few days ago the AIW cards are now supported by ATI for
MCE2005. There is an article on the ATI web site that details exactly how to get
it working https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...estionID=19393

The AIW hasn't been a problem for me. I've been using that card and
watching TV for about 2 months now. I got curious and took the Hauppage
card from another computer and put it in my media PC. I know that you can't
actually watch 2 different shows at the same time. I only want to be able
to record 1 show and watch another. The problem is, when I hit record and
then try to change the channel it doesn't like it. I need to get more info
on the other tuner card, because I'm pretty sure its not supported by MCE...
