DVD PlayBack Issues in Media Center and Windows Media Player
Posted by TechnoLover on March 27th, 2006

Hi,
I have been using my MCE 2005 PC For 1 and 1/2 years. I am having a problem
with DVD playback from past three days after i ran the Windows update.

Now whenever i try to play a DVD(say a personal movie DVD or Commerical DVD)
from the DVD drive the Video and Audio is choppy.

if i play the DVD from the DVD drive using InterVideo Win DVD player
software then it plays fine but if i play it in either MCE or Windows Media
player then the audio and video is choppy.

But if i copy the same DVD or any DVD to my hard drive and then play it from
My Videos using media center then it plays fine.

I used sytem restore to go back to an earlier time still had the same issue.

I updated my audio drivers, Ran all the windows updates unistalled and
reinstalled WinDVD and tried everything else that i could think of. I
verified that the DVD Drive is in DMA Mode.

I am lost....Can anyone please help????
