- Error: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file..
- Posted by Rohit_Arora on January 14th, 2008
Hi,
I am using Win XP SP II. The problem I am facing at the moment is, on
clicking any of the executable files in my system. I get this below error:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have
the appropriate permissions to access the item."
Although, I have all permissions being an administrator of my system.
NOTE: Someone suggested me to press 'Unblock' button that should appear in
the Properties of that exe. But unfortunately, this button doesn't appear if
I right click on the exe and get into properties.
Please let me know the solution ASAP as it is creating a lot of problem for
me.
Thanks in advance!!
