- EXT USB HD PARTITION CREATED IN XP PRO NOT RECOGNIZED IN MEDIA CEN
- Posted by BILLW on July 5th, 2008
My external USB Hard Drive Partition used for Backups and created on a PC
with Windows XP Pro is detected when connected to my notebook running Windows
XP Media Center but in Disk Management although recognized as NTFS is
described as an Unknown partition and no drive letter can be assigned to it
and in fact the only available operation appears to be to remove the
partition which I did not intend to do. SP 3 has been used in both Windows XP
Pro and XP Media Center. Will I be forced to remove and recreate the
partition to use this external drive with my notebook?
