Flash and MIDI music playback
Posted by Liz81 on November 25th, 2005

Ok, I've been having problems getting sounds to play on Macromedia
Flashplayer 8.0. I reinstalled it at least twice, deleted all folders and
files from the computer and even macromedia-related things from the registry
but nothing. The movie does seem to play but no sounds.

Also, I am not able to get my "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth" in the MIDI
music playback. I went to control panel>sound and audio device to get to
properties and the MIDI music playback field was blank. So I went to the
drop-down thing to select "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth" in the MIDI music
playback field. I then clicked "apply" then "ok." To make sure it was still
there, I closed it then went back and found out that the MIDI music playback
field was blank again. I selected "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth" again
and then clicked "apply" and "Ok." Every time I go back there, it's blank so
I have to select it again so it's as if every time I close it, the field is
blank again. What could be happening?

Thanks!
