- Guide download
- Posted by Michel Gervais on January 18th, 2008
Hello,
Since I installed .NET 2.0 (then 3.0) it is impossible to download program
guide with my Mediacenter 2004 updated (5.1.2600.2180 - Toshiba Qosmio
E10). If I uninstall .NET back to1.1 then everything works.
All .exe under /ehome have been authorized under McAfee.
Can I refresh some file to get this work ?
Thanks

You can have all of the Netframework versions installed at the same time.
Each version increase does not replace the earlier Version. So if a app
needs, .net framework 1.1, you must have .net framework 1.1 installed.
So you should have .net framework 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 installed at the same
time.
That is if you have programs that need version 2.0 and/or 3.0.
Media Center 2005 with rollup 2 must have .net framework 1.1 installed.

Thank you for your attention.
It was not maybe clear as I express it on my message but yes I use .Net as
an incremental part of Windows as you explain.
I used my Qosmio for some time back only with 1.1 and got Guide again. But
programed recording was impossible from S3 (?) : "recording did'nt begin :
disk full...(!)" (74 Go free...)
I reinstalled .Net 2.0 above 1.1 and downloading guide was again impossible.
I'll try to get this fix (numerous error message are sent automatically to
Microsoft about "ehrec.exe failure") ot I will reinstall everything only
with critical windows updates...

How much space do you have on the Recording drive?
And how much space is allocated to MCE on the Recording Drive.
In MCE.
Settings > TV > Recorder > Recorder Storage.
Check the Max limit.
