I am wondering if anyone knows if wireless versus wired ethernet can affect
the fidelity of the HD picture on the screen of the DLP HDTV connected to an
XBOX 360. I do not mean the streaming playback quality, but the clarity of
the picture.

I currently have my XBOX 360 set up and playing HDTV that is being streamed
wirelessly from a MCE PC. The quality/sharpness/clarity is not as good
compared to my HD Directv on the same TV. The colors are not as sharp and
the image appears to be washed out. I am hoping this is because I am using a
Wireless G router as opposed to Wireless A or Wired. Any thoughts or
suggestions? Any other ideas on how to improve the image? The image looks
great on my LCD computer monitor by the way.

Where is the HD content you're playing on your Xbox 360 coming from? Is it
over the air/ATSC or is it captured via an HD cable/satellite box? Unless
it is ATSC, it is being downconverted to SD by your set top box.

Assuming you are playing ATSC, how is your Xbox 360 connected to your TV?
If you're using component, what output mode do you have your Xbox 360 set
to? (720p?) If you have it set to 480p/720p/1080i, please confirm that the
TV/HDTV switch on the Xbox AV cable is in the HDTV position.

Going back to your actual question - the video stream transmitted to the
Xbox 360 is digital, so the type of network connection in the middle does
not impact visual quality (though performance/responsiveness will be much
faster over Ethernet)
