Log of errors

My machine has spontaneously re-booted a couple of times in the past day or
so. That, together with the failure of my ethernet card, leads me to believe
my motherboard might be on its way out. Does XP keep a log of these issues?
If so, where can I find it?

Thanks. Whatever's happening isn't being recorded here. All of the messages
are fairly innocuous and are failures of not finding the network (card is
bad).

Does the NIC keeps it's own log perhaps? Maybe just do a search for any
*.log files on the PC - might get lucky.

Have you plugged another NIC in, just in case that's the only problem; or is
it onboard (in which case you still could disable the onboard and try
another).
