- MCE 2005 IR controller and Time Warner Digital Cable Set-top probl
- Posted by Matt on February 1st, 2006
I found out after I got DTV from Time Warner that I could only record and
watch the same channel. I have a WinTV-500MCE, which is a dual tuner. When I
had just analog tv it worked fine, I could record one channel and watch
another or record 2 channels. Now tell if I'm wrong, but DO I NEED A 2nd DTV
set-top box?
I have a USB IR reciever and 2 IR control cables. I put both on the front of
my set-top box, but only one works the set-top box. I'm not sure if the
second is bad or you need a 2nd different set-top box.

You would need a second DTV set-up box (both tv source sinals have to be the
same).
