Is MCE 2005 Rollup 2 incompatible with DirecTV D10 receiver?
Posted by Diegob on December 27th, 2005

I have not been able to set up my HP z556 with MCE 2005 rollup 2 to change
channels on the DirecTV D10 receiver. I called HP customer support; they said
the receiver is not compatible. Has anyone heard this? any suggestions?

It *should* work, but yuo will need to train MCE on the D10's commands. To
do this tell it you have a remote and when it does not recognize it MCE will
give you the option to train it.

I am unable to get my remote trained manually or otherwise, and the channels
will not change on my new DirectTV D10 set top box. Is there a way to tell
Microsoft about the problem so they do something to fix it, or do I just
chuck MCE altogether? It was working so well before my STB died and was
replaced by a D10....
