I`m looking to build a high end media centre pc with gaming ablity to a
budget of £2000, any suggestions for compatible hardware would be greatly
appreciated

Take a look at my web site at www.mediacenterstuff.com - it's targeted at
those who build their own Media Center PCs. One of the links (which may
actually be on the Downloads page rather than the Links page) brings up the
latest list of officially supported hardware. Basically, this pertains to
graphics cards, tuner cards, and dvd decoders - most of the other system
components (i.e., motherboard, memory, hard drives) don't matter quite as
much.
