I need some help, please.

I just got a Linksys MCX (WMCE54AG). The installation gave me an error
saying that MCRD Device Service encountered a problem and needed to
close. The installation seemed to continue but the PC cannot find the
extender.

It seems like everything points to the Media Center Extender service
not being able to start. If I try to start it from the Services window
(My Computer - Manage) I get the error right away.

If I try to start it manually from the command window, I get a message
that says it started successfully but then i get the message again and
the Services show it stopped.

Please advise.
