My media center works fine except unless i click on "my photos" then it
immediately generates a crash report and shuts down.

any ideas? thanks

What does the crash report details say?

My guess is that MCE is trying to look for "My Photos" is a directory
that doesn't exist or is pointing to somewhere else. Verify "My Photos"
is actually there and has the correct directory permissions.
