Media Center Problem
Posted by T3rM1ght on October 16th, 2005

Hello, I am having a problem with Media Center every time I start to watch TV.

Might there be a diagnostic tool that can go through and check
registry/services and other things to see if Media Center is ready to be used?

I remeber a while back when I installed, I messed with registry and
services, but now that I need to watch TV on the computer, I have no idea
what I need to have in my registry or running as a service.

Please help.

Again to add to the post, I found that starting "esched.exe" causes the
problem to occur, anything I can do about it?

Um, what changes did you make to the registry initially? And why?

I deleted a lot of start-up processes, and turned off a lot of services (as
I usually do with a new install) to boost system performance.

but I dont remember which ones I turned off, or which keys I deleted, it was
a while ago
